From Invisible Boy (check him out!!)
First off I would like to say that the current JJ Abrams Star Trek movie is my first and only Star Trek experience. Secondly, I thought it was a great movie. As I watched the movie though, I could not help but jot down a few mental notes about the future.
In the future... Spaceships used for combat dont come equipped with seat belts. Even when traveling at warp speed, no one goes through the windshield.
In the future... Even though technology and weaponry has advanced well beyond our imaginations people still fist fight.
In the future... There is no need for crash dummies or crash dummy manufacturers. (Refer to note #1)
In the future... Green women are promiscuous. My apologies to present day green women.
In the future... Nokia and American muscle cars still exist.
In the future...Nerds are the cool kids.
In the future... Eric Bana is actually a decent actor. Who knew?
In the future... There aren't that many black people in space. Not sure if that's due to our fear of heights or because we still don't trust "ships".
In the future... Pony tails are still stylish and convenient.
In the future... Leonard Nimoy and a bunch of dudes that look like Leonard Nimoy outlive us all.
(Further thoughts on Note #10) -- Now a Trekkie told me it's because his race of people are Vulcans. Apparently Vulcans live a long a long time. The truth is... If you are born with ears that pointy and the only style of haircut on your planet is the "bowl" cut, God apologies by giving you a long life. That way its guaranteed, you live long enough to witness the deaths of all the people that ever made fun of you.
