Twitter Rock Random Music Moment: Bad Brains

Some of the Min. We. twitter folks made it know for their love for Bad Brains (yes, it’s really their name), so we had to give you a little 411 on one weirdly cool band. Bad Brains is American hardcore punk band, whom actually formed for the purpose of starting a jazz fusion ensemble, called Mind Power. Bad Brain is made up of vocals, guitar, bass, and drums. Thankfully, they learned their unique style was better off in the punk genre. This band got its start in Washington, D.C. around 1977.

Since then, Bad Brains has 8 albums under its belt; Bad Brains, Rock for Light, I Against I, Quickness, Rise, God of Love, I&I survived, and Build a Nation. One of the most popular songs you heard by them is Pay to Cum, which became a single in 1980. Pay to Cum was used in a scene in the movie After Hours and was covered by ska band Skankin’ Pickle.
