American Killed By Gunmen In Northwest Pakistan


An American aid worker was shot and killed in Pakistan along with his driver as he traveled to work Wednesday in the country's volatile northwest border region.

Police did not speculate on the identity of the assailants, but similar attacks against foreigners have been blamed on militants linked to al-Qaida and the Taliban, whose fighters have been increasingly active in the region.
