Muddy Waters by PaigeWrite

The simple story telling songs accompanied by acoustic guitar and harmonica, the old juke joint packed to capacity on a hot sweaty, sticky, summers night... the foot tapping, body moving sounds of a Blues fills the air. Take yourself there...
One known as "the Father of Chicago Blues" McKinley Morganfield; better known as Muddy Waters spent 30 years of his life producing what are deeply respected as some of "the best blues songs ever." just to name a few... "Hoochie Coochie Man", "Mannish Boy", and "I Want to be Loved".

Officially Born April 14,1913 near a river called Deep Creak, although Waters altered his age to 1915 to appear younger to the music industry.Waters spent most of his young life in the Creek where he grew up, playing in the dirty waters, is how he became fondly known as Muddy Waters.

Water's sound was basically a blend of Country Delta Blues electrified; But the sound that seemed so simple was not, the use of microtones in his vocals and slide playing, made duplicating...extremely difficult.

Water's life on this earth ended on April 30,1983; but his music lives on. He was ranked #17 in in the 2004 Rolling Stones' list of the 100 greatest artist of all time. In addition, he is actually the Father of blues musician Big Bill Morganfield, allowing his legacy to live on through his son.

Muddy Waters, filled his purpose, served his destiny and left behind a legacy. Remember him...remember his music.
