You can't go wrong with Lacuna Coil, an Italian rock band based out of Milan. The Gothic Alternative Metal band has been around since 1994, formerly known as Sleep of Right and Ethereal. The band is made up of 6 members (2 vocals, 2 guitars, bass/keyboards, and drums/percussion) and got their big break with 2006 release, Karmacode, which hit the Billboard 200 at number 29.

Their Latest release Shallow Life, hit the charts at number 16, proving that Hard Rock isn't gone. The band put out 6 albums stemming from 1999 to 2009, with such albums as In a Reverie, Unleashed Memories, and Comalies. Known for such singles as "Closer" (2006), "Spellbound" (2009), and "Swamped" (2004). This is definitely a band you should give a try soon.
