Journey To Women Business Owners

Here are a few important years for women I wanted to share with you. Here are a few years that helped women become business owners.

-1809: First patent to a woman Mary Dixon Kies, for process of weaving straw with silk for millenery.
-1830-1880: Women can now inherit, own property and in most states, negotiate contracts.
-1890: National Women's Suffrage Association Organized
-1919: Federation of Business and Professional Women founded.
-1920: 19th Amendment allowed women to vote.
-1923 Equal Rights Amendment introduced to Congress.
