Out of Focus

Have you gone home and went to download your photos and discovered that your photos were out of focus? One of the biggest problems most people face when taking photos are that they come out not in focus. Well if you fit into this group of people I might have tips to help you out. By the way if you were wonder why you didn’t noticed it after viewing the photo on the camera. The reason is because the screen on the camera is so small and doesn’t show details on the photos.
Your images may turn out all blurry because of three main reasons. 1. Lens may need to be cleaned. 2. Shooting in low light environments without a flash. 3. The camera was focusing on something other than your main focus point.

The steps to fix these problems, most importantly don’t touch your camera lens with your finger. When you touch the lens with your finger it leaves your fingerprint behind. When lens are prepared a special coating is placed on the lens to help to reduce the problem of internal reflections on the surfaces of lens elements. That’s why the lens has a light blue appearance and it greatly reduces the amount of light lost due to surface reflections. If you noticed that there is a fingerprint; remove it ASAP, If not promptly removed, the acids in fingerprints can permanently etch themselves into a lens coating. To clean the lens just take some lens cleaner and a soft lent free cloth and wipe the lens in a circular motion.

If you think it’s too dark; shoot with the flash. Basically if you are shooting indoors or in the shade just shoot with a flash. It’s better to have too much light instead of not having enough. Also, sometimes the camera is focusing on something else. Some of the modern cameras have 3 or 9 area focus. The camera automatically focuses using one or more focus points. The focus positions change according to each subject, focusing on a number of objects within a scene. If the wrong red point is selected the photo will come out of focus. So just make sure the middle red point is highlighted.

These few steps should help you get most of your photos in focus. Happy shooting to you.
